"He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm,
and carry them close to his heart, and shall gently lead those that are with young." Isaiah 40:11

Little Mermaid

These are a few recent pictures of Rachel with a volunteer at the Flames House.  There are volunteers that come in regularly to spend time with the kids and we can tell that they love doing it.  Thank-you!!  I called Rachel a little mermaid because she has both her feet stuck in one leg hole.  She's long enough for some sleepers but most sleepers are too wide for her so this happens alot.

You are hilarious! This is so much fun!!

I don't know if it would help with Rachel's sleepers, but I often put thick socks on my kid's feet before I put their sleepers on when we have to go up a size. It seems to help their feet to stay in the right spot a little better.
She is so sweet in her thoughtful pose!

She is looking so alert and observant in these pictures. It must be so hard on you all to never know when that will change. Our prayers are with you.

Awww Rachel. I love your mermaid pictures - your face registers pure joy. I know you're here for a shorter time than most of us (still praying for that miracle) but as tiny as you are you are enjoying your life.

You're also a source of joy for the rest of us with that beautiful smile.

Your sister will treasure those pictures forever - her and her little sister.
