"He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm,
and carry them close to his heart, and shall gently lead those that are with young." Isaiah 40:11

At the Funks in July

Rachel just LOVED the swing outside.  She couldn't stop grinning and laughing.
The kids spent HOURS jumping on the trampoline (with a sprinkler underneath)
The Boys went on a Canoe Trip on the Whitemouth River
On our way Home to Alberta...
I did take her out of her carseat quite often too - shhhh....don't tell.

we've been gone a bit and without a computer for even longer . . . i just caught up on your trip out here and back again and had to marvel at how amazing that little girl of yours is. she is just so beautiful! and i rejoiced with you over the gift of family and love and summer and a break from spells. thank-you Jesus!! we continue to pray each and every day for you.

Lord, bless these beautiful Funks with peace, strong trust, rest, hope, and strength when days are dark. help them to keep their eyes on the prize and run this race with endurance and stamina and glory in You. may you bless them with every good and perfect gift, Father of Light. continue to do more than they ask or even imagine. we pray in your Holy name.

Love the pictures. So thankful the trip went well and you got to do some really fun things with many of your most loved people. I come to your blog almost every day. I love the joyful days, cry and pray over the dark days and long to understand things through God's eyes. The comforting thing is I do know his hand is upon you all. And He knows what an encouragement you are to complete strangers like me. Yes, in your strength you are an encouragement, in your weakness you are an encouragement, in your endurance, your faith, your love, your thoughtfulness of others...even when your road is dark. I know you probably don't see it that way, but I know God sees what your story speaks into my life. God bless and keep you.
