| At the Cabin, August 2011 Ethan first drew this picture of him giving Rachel a hug. Then he dictated this note to me, for Rachel too. Abigail wanted to do the same. I wrote a bunch more letters from them to Rachel that afternoon. (by their request) Another note Ethan dictated to me: "Dear Rachel, Thank-you for the love you gave us. Thank-you for the happiness you made in us. We love you and miss you." Love, Ethan |

"I love you. We miss you. We loved playing with you and I loved tickling your feet. That was my favorite thing to do." Love, Abigail
"Dear Rachel, We're eating chips and we miss you so much. We just want to keep you forever and we want to play with you more. We wish we could be in heaven with you. That's all." Abigail

How touching! It's so amazing when kids can express themselves, both in the good times and in the difficult times of grief. Blessings and prayers for them and you guys too.
Beautiful! And tear-jerkers at the same time. What a good idea for them. They must have their Mom's journalling instincts.
