and carry them close to his heart, and shall gently lead those that are with young." Isaiah 40:11

Heartbreaking Night
Last night between 2:15 and 2:30 am Rachel had another spell and it was a horrible one. Our Palliative Care doctor was on her way to our house when she finally pulled out of it. We thought this might be it. I'll write more later.
I am praying for peace and comfort for you after such a tough night. I know Rachel is feeling your love, your care and I hope you feel the love of all of "us" your story has touched. Hugs.
I have been following your blog and praying for your family. I pray you feel an overwhelming about of God's strength today as you are emotional and physically drained. May you have moments of joy and refreshment with Rachel, Ethan and Abigail, moments that ease and erase the pain.
Jesus be with you and comfort you and your family during this terrible time. I'm so sorry you are going through this. Praying for God to provide you strength emotionally, physically and spiritually. Love you all!
oh my . . . my heart dropped reading this. may God have mercy! how are you and dave doing? i feel grateful that your other children were sleeping at the time and did not have to experience this too. Lord, please spare Dave and Kendra from having to witness any more pain and suffering in their daughter Rachel. Lord, when the time comes for her to go be with you, may she go in peace. Lord, I pray that her heart spells be over and that the days remaining to her be beautiful, peaceful, full of big smiles and true joy. I pray in the name of Jesus, who understands what it means to suffer. Please be kind, dear God.
So very sad to read this news. I am glad she pulled through but I'm sure it was/is so draining in every way imaginable. Your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.
Oh my little Funk family. This was not what I was anticipanting to read today being so soon after the last one. I am happy to hear that she pulled through this time. I will continue praying for her and for all of you. I feel Fiona's sentiments for sure. I pray that you will find strength in the only one that can provide it. Much love sent your way, Christina
Shocked to read your update. Rachel has been such a fighter since birth. I so want her to show every one how long she can live. I am praying for your whole family as they go on this crazy ride. I know this does not help with you getting any rest. Please take care of your self. I just can not imagin the fear you are living. Thank you for the update.
