She pooped!

We gave Rachel a suppository around 6pm and it worked - she pooped!  And she did very well - just her normal straining and nothing like what happened on Sunday. This is a huge HUGE relief!! We were feeling on edge all day wondering how that would go.

We are still planning to move home tomorrow morning - our kids really need it.  It's been a tough few days for them - lots more acting out and volatility.  It was a very full day for all of us and we are wiped.  I feel like I need to go home too - but at the same time I am nervous about it too.  We need to work on a bit of an 'emergency' plan tomorrow.  It sounds like we will be given some pre-measured doses of morphine if needed.  (should what happened on Sunday re-occur)   Please pray for PEACE to rule in our home and a real sense of His presence with us.  Pray that we will know how to parent our kids when we feel like we have so little reserve left.  Thank-you.

The internet isn't working well again..so I will end there for now.  Good-night!

  1. Kendra - I've been following Rachel's story for a while... thank you for sharing it. She is beautiful, and God's grace is so evident in her life. The MOMs group at Gospel Mennonite Church in Winnipeg is praying for your family.

  3. Oh Kendra! Haha I never imagined I would read a blog entitled "she pooped!" however with that said I am very glad that this bm hasn't caused a lot of strain for her little heart. I am sure you will all feel more relaxed at home especially with God going before you. I am praying for you and the family. Much love - Christina

  4. I have also been following Rachel's story and it is so very touching. You are so very strong and I cannot fathom how you do it. My son Nixon was born May 26 of this year, sometimes I imagine what it would be like if it were me in your shoes. Rachel and Nix are only a few days apart in age so I love to hear about what milestones she's reaching, like smiling and laughing :) Our church, Springs Calgary, is praying for Rachel and your family. We look forward to continuing to hear praise reports about Rachel, we will continue to keep your family in our prayers! Blessings on you and your precious family!
