But people have been asking about Rachel so I'll give a brief update. I keep hearing that people are checking this blog every day! Wow. (I like to bug Dave about how many 'followers' Rachel has gained in her short life compared to his blog followers...he he) Rachel sure is loved by many. Thank-you for being so interested in our journey. She's still doing the same as far as we can see. She does seem to be eating better these days. (still every 2 hours or so though). She seems fairly happy too. She is very responsive to us and it seems like she is trying to talk.
Dave's brother Tim came to visit us for a few days! This was his first time to meet Rachel and we were really glad to have him here. Dave and Tim took the two older kids to Heart Creek Trail for most of a day. I got some rest at home with Rachel.
We are expecting to see both our parents in the next while too! Next Tuesday we are back at the Hospice (maybe for a week) and we are really looking forward to getting some sleep again. Please pray for David as he has returned to work. We believe that God is sustaining us. This time of sickness and exhaustion too shall pass.

She is so beautiful. I hope you are feeling better soon. It is so hard when mommy is sick...especially when you are trying to keep a little one healthy. You all remain in my thoughts and prayers every day.
My heart goes out to you when I talk to Dave and hear how tired you all are! I am glad your parents are coming this weekend already, and I can hardly wait to see you all next week.
I'm so sorry to hear that you are sick. It's so hard with little ones, especially ones that need much attention. Praise God that grandparents are coming and that you are returning to the hospice. Be good to yourself there and do something special, you deserve to take that time for yourself.
And we will pray for Dave as he is back at work.
I'm so sorry you are sick- hopefully you have meds that will soon kick in. I'll be praying for you all that you can make it until Tuesday. Thank God for the hospice!! Great pictures! You can tell Dave that I use to check his blog quite regularly, but not so often anymore, since I can't remember the last time I saw a new post (maybe I'd better check it today, just in case!).
it is true . . . i check most days to see what the update is :D but i realize that must be very tiring for you to have to think of updating all the time. we will pray for quick healing from your cold and continued strength from moment to moment!! i am anticipating your next hospice stay along with you - that must be such an amazing gift to continue to look forward to!
I too am a fan of Rachel and this blog, not a fan of you not feeling well...I actually think that there ought to be a law against mothers of young children being sick...meanwhile I'll pray. Roselle
